Kanelani has a corporate career of more than 12 years. He has completed engagements in leading corporates drawing experiences from various industries notably Insurance, Banking, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Energy and Gas. Early in his career, Kanelani's work revolved around lean based business process re-engineering initiatives focusing on enhancing organizational improvement and performance. He occupied various positions as Lead resource for both corporates and consulting houses within the organizational transformation and improvements arena.
Kanelani has since worked as consultant with an inclination towards supporting various components of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function. He used these insights to develop various toolkits and solutions within this field. Further to this, he maintains passionate interest in the area of socio-economic development. Some of his Economic development contributions involve working with various stakeholders in the establishment of innovation hubs, community development trust and coordinating Enterprise Supplier Development programs for corporates.
In addition to business interest, Kanelani is training as a Life Coach and voluntarily mentors high school youth utilizing his experience as well as professional networks to aid them in areas of personal development and education. In his capacity as a founder member of Makungu Ya Nyiko Education Trust, Kanelani is actively driving the development of educational programs in his home village. Kanelani holds professional membership with CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply) and IMCSA (Institute of Management Consultants South Africa).
